Safety Cap

Safety caps are protective headgear designed to shield seafarers and maritime workers from head injuries in hazardous environments. Unlike full hard hats, safety caps are typically lighter and often resemble a standard baseball cap in appearance but have a reinforce inner shell, usually made of high-density plastic or ABS material. They protect against minor bumps, scrapes, and low-impact collisions - such as hitting overhead structures in engine rooms or tight spaces on deck.

They are commonly used in areas where full helmets are not required but basic protection is still necessary. Many feature adjustable straps, ventilation panels, and sweatbands for comfort during long wear.
